Re: Citi Platinum select mastercard

creditwherecreditisdue.

Thanks for the info on the Concierge Service.  I've had the card for years and never knew about it.

score_building,

CITI does allow PC.  However, I wouldn't PC from platinum select to diamond preferred since they're pretty similar.  If you want to switch, get the CITI AMEX or AA Advantage which offer real rewards

These cards offer better rewards at the cost of a higher APR. In my case I wanted a low APR card and I got it. Still at 6.99%! YMMV

I totally agree, which is why I got the Diamond Preferred.  But if someone is looking for a PC and PIF, then those are good alternatives.

Re: Citi Platinum select mastercard

Yes,

Thank you very much for the information.

I've decided to apply as soon as my CR are updated.  Right now they show more util than there really is (I paid right after my CCCs updated for the month)

I also received a $1000.00 CLI from GEMB JC Penney so I want to make sure that posts before I apply for new credit

Thankfully the pre-approval offer is good until September

I have a nasty habit of trying to micro-time the execution of those pre-app offers and then having to pull my hair out trying to find them at the last minute. Thankfully I can usually find 'em and have never had one declined yet!
