I tried their pre qualifier site to see if their Double Cash card would come up, I did not want to waste an INQ. It says they can't match my records with any prequalified offers but suggested the double cash. Is that standard for I do not qualify for anything?

I was not pre-qualified and was comfortably approved.
I am opted out though.
You have some nice scores. This card seems very appealing. I think I may have to wait though as my scores are not the greatest right now.

For what its worth i got "pre qualified" for this card, as well as an number of other citi cards. so don't requirements are that high .
So I should not try for this right now, is that the general vibe I am getting?

It just says we cannot match your records to any pre qualified offer here are some cards you might like, and then the first one is this double cash back. I use NFCU exclusively because of the instant redemption and ease. But this might have to take the cake.

What does the pre qualified offer look like? Does it sayCongratulations and have the pre screen opt out box and all that jazz? Or does the card just come up with details but no congrats message? I got the second one which I don't think is a pre qual but so did my DH and he has good credit.

It says you're Pre-Qualified to apply for the following credit card offers. See below for 4 additional offer(s). The other offers are citi aa, hilton, TYP , and premeir. I assume thats an pre approval but i don't really trust pre qual sites.
I did a spin with the Citi Prequal and it didn't find anything in spite of the fact that my EX score is 700+ (if that was the SP) as well as have a good standing CDP card with them for 10 months now. This is the same CCC that blew my mind back in Dec after only having it 3 months with a CLI x3!!! Bet i could prolly land it but don't dare yet after just getting in with both Chase & Barclay this month. Oooops
