Citi - Recon initial CL?

I applied for a Citi Simplicity yesterday and was approved with a $1800 CL. I wanted this card for the BT @ 0% for 18 months. I have around $3k that I'd like to transfer to this card. I explained everything to the CSR and she stated that I'd have to wait until I received the card in order to request a CLI. Has anyone had any luck with Citi increasing an initial credit limit without a hard pull?

Re: Citi - Recon initial CL?

Finally got the card and called and spoke with an Account Manager. She attempted to put thru the CLI - but because the account is only 4 days old, it auto declined any increase without giving her the option to forward to their business department.

She also mentioned that if you request an increase within the first 30 days, they will USUALLY use the credit report you have on file, as opposed to pulling a new one.
