Citi Secured Card graduating -- Is it possible to transfer part of the Credit Limit to another card?

I have had a Citi secured card with a limit of $2,500 for a year and a half. I just received the letter saying the card is graduating and they are giving the CHA back. They also stated in the letter that within 75 days the card will become a Diamond Preferred. I assume the card will keep the same CL I had before.

I also have a Citi DC with a limit of $500. Is it possible to transfer part of the Credit Limit of the credit card that is now unsecured to the DC? I spoke with a representative and said Citi doesn't allow this, and that the only way is to request a CLI on the DC. Is this true?

Another option would be, once the Citi Secured card becomes a Diamond Preferred, requesting a PC to DC, and then closing the other DC. Is this a more viable option? Thoughts?

Yes, once the card graduates it will likely retain the same CL.

Unfortunately, Citi isn't like Chase or Barclays as far as CL reallocations.

You have a couple options: (1) you can check online to see if your current DC card is elegible for a SP CLI. Otherwise, you can determine if a HP is worth it depending on whether your profile supports it. (2) You can wait after a period of time of having the Diamond Preferred and see if it can qualify for a DC conversion since there's been some success in that area.
