KLM looks to be pretty sweet for international travel however did a quick search and don’t see any domestic flight bookings available from NYC. Although I do see there are plenty KLM operating flights out of here. Weird that no available bookings in next year for anything domestic. All your domestic flights will be via delta not KLM/AF . I. Am not sure how you can find all of delta partner availability, i remember reading recently that af/Klm don’t post award availability i could be wrong about that . Maybe VS shows delta availability on their site i am not sure
Correct; it's not legal for foreign carriers to operate itineraries between two US destinations (marketing codeshare flights on US carriers is perfectly fine). As long as you know there is award availability, you can always call KL or AF to book. Usually the search engine works fine, but I can't seem to be able to have it show any availability today. Here's a pair of screenshots showing that it usually will show domestic awards, and how you need to be careful when booking because it can be really crazy at times. Note that there are hourly flights from BOS-LGA that should be ultra cheap, but this is what came up.
A SUB worth 750 minimum can go a long ways though. I knew going into the application I wasn’t going to bother with their transfer partners. Not to mention, I’ll rather not jump through hoops to get the best value out of my points.
Im perfectly fine with getting 3.75% back on travel given how I will use the points. This card will pair well with my Savor and Fidelity.

So it’s 1.25 no matter what travel you redeem for through their portal? So I can book hotels through it and get 1.25? It’s misleading because on the app it says only for airfare.
Specifically says “flights are worth 25% more” at ThankYou.com too, but I just tested it and it seems to be true for hotels:
Just keep in mind that you usually will earn no points or loyalty credit and amenities when booked through an OTA.
When you book airfare through an online travel agency (OTA such as a portal, Expedia, etc.), you are generally eligible to earn miles as well as elite qualifying miles, segments, and dollars.
I am not aware of any hotel loyalty programs where you earn elite credit or points when booking through an OTA. (That’s why with the 4th night free feature of Citi Prestige it’s better to book through the concierge rather than through the portal.) Individual hotels will ultimately make the decision as to whether elite benefits are given to members booking through an OTA, but they are certainly not required to.

That’s actually not too bad of a redemption for hotels.
Are heir any major partners in the portal to redeem from as well as domestically?
Major partners in the portal? You should be able to redeem for pretty much most airlines and hotels that would appear in any OTA. As for actual transfer partners, TrueBlue (JetBlue) and Sears Shop Your Way are the only US companies. Of course you can actually book domestic tickets through the majority of the international partners due to code shares.
