So my Citi TYP card just turned one year old this month.
I have never had the "Soft Pull" CLI option online. It always says a credit report will be pulled...blah blah blah.
I also have not had any new inquiries or new accounts in the past 6 months.
Never late, mix of PIF before statement cut ...as well as PIF after statement cut just so there is a small balance.
What gives? Has this happened to anyone else? Does Citi really not give SP CLI's to some people?
I believe once your acct matures (> 13 mos), you will start to see this message "It's easy to find out if you qualify for a credit limit increase. A credit bureau report will not be requested and you will receive an instant decision." But, yest Citi does offer SP CLI's!
I had my TYP for just over 2 years and never got the soft CLI page until I PC'd to the Double Cash a few weeks ago. As soon as the Double Cash showed up in my accounts, I had the soft CLI dialogue and I was bumped $1600 to $9600. Good luck

so you feel my credit line increase for my over 13 mo old Citi BB store card could be a soft using that
button? hmmm.
Also adding that CITI is sending me pre qual offers in the mail and i see them promo pulling me on CA's left and right.
Hmm I wonder what the chances for the Request CLI option (BB store card) is being a SP now..

It night also be some cards. I have four Citi cards, three of which now always show SP, and a Citi AA card which NEVER has. I don't think I had one on my TYP until I PCd to DC (as someone else also reports) and I think the same was true of my Premier, which as soon as I PCd to Dividend got a SP CLI.

BestBuy is not a SP.

That's weird because every time I look it always says it won't generate a credit report. Trying calling them. It also could be the computer seeing something in your profile.
Got My TYP March 18th. A little less than 6 months later(Sept 3) got an instant $600 sp approval. Dec, Feb, and Mar, I was denied increases but the SP button was available to me those months. First denied due to having a recent increase. Later denied because of, "Ratio of revolving balances to credit limits too high". Here is the sneaky thing though---now that my balances are lowered, and I am 7months out, Citi went back to the HP screen for TYP. I, however, was able to get a 1400 increase on my newly upgraded Double Cash(formerly Dividend). Prior to upgrading, I couldn't get the SP button on it in recent months. Only one increase of 1400 on Dividend 7 months after getting it.
I'm thinking of also upgrading my TYP to Double Cash. If I do, I'll try for an increase then.
"I'm thinking of also upgrading my TYP to Double Cash"
Do you mean to say.. I can convert my BB Store card from Citi to a Regular Citi card?
I have had it for a few years.
