update!
for those citi card members with the dividends world/world elite mastercard, which comes with paypass, it is not available with the "chip and signature" technology. Attempted to use my citi dividends world elite mastercard with chip technology today, waved my card at the paypass device, card did not work, had to swipe, called citi and CSR said that the chip cards does not have a dual capability for security purposes!
UPDATE: Just spoke with an Account Supervisor and it looks like the Chip technology is being rolled out to "many" Citi products but at this time its not yet available for my two cards. Aparently mailers are going out and if you get one you can call in and request the "Global Chip" technology.
I think this is great. Grats!
A few years ago I got stuck at a Paris train station because their machines would not take any of my cards. I later found out it was because they only accept cards with chips. At the time, I thought ALL cards had chips so didn't understand what exactly what was going on. But apparently, American CC's did not have them.
Sounds like a great card for people who travel.
Just dug this thread up from searching and am happy to hear that the Citi Dividend World Elite MC does in fact come with a silver MasterCard logo on the front, which I think looks cool. The Citi welcome kit for this card shows it with a regular red/yellow logo, so this is a pleasant surprise: https://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/pdf/divworldELITEmc_welcome_kit.pdf
I recently called in and was able to get upgraded from Dividend World to World Elite with EMV, along with a separate PayPass chip (since you can't get EMV and PayPass in the same card). I wrote about it here: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Citi-World-to-World-Elite-MasterCard/m-p/1359767#M37751...

I have read on other forums that these cards may not work at unmanned petrol and train stations at all. A user was in Europe recently with her chip and sig and had mixed results. She was told conflicting things about getting around the pin from her bank, including entering random non consecutive numbers and entering nothing. I do not know why US cards are not built with a default PIN for these situations. Better yet, just give us a pin, even if you assign it for us.
