Citi odd credit limit amount

My parents' Citi card has a limit if $1,002!   Yep you read it right.   I can get a screenshot next time I visit. 

We have a few running jokes at home what those $2 are good for.

This is really how I picture credit card approvals go at Citi... 

CEO at Citi Cards: Hey, they've been pretty good with managing their finances, why don't we give em a few extra bucks.

Maybe it's a $1,000 limit. 

And an extra $1 for each of them

for their weekly allowance?  Lol

I think it's Comenity because they did that on three of my accounts.

No they are referring to Citibank.  Other banks do this as well, but this instance it's about them
