Citi product change question

Hi

I got the preferred diamond MC from Citi few days ago and i was actually attracted by the offer 0 APR for 21 months and never paid attention that it has no reward program.

Do you think i should call and ask for product change? and is it possible to do so since i just got my card?

Thanks

I would worry whether or not you would still be qualified for the intro APR, since their other cards offer less or no intro APR at all.

ETA:  I got this card last week too, in order to take advantage of the balance transfer offer.  I plan to attempt a product change after I've paid the transfer off, which will take me about a year.

If you product change, then it is likely you will lose intro APR. Is intro APR more important to you? Or reward program?

+1     I agreed!    You need to pick one thing over the other.

Re: Citi product change question

thanks for your reply.

i want it to be one of my main cards, so that's why i think it should be linked with a reward program. I was just wondering whether i can change it to another product this soon? and if so which one should i choose?

Re: Citi product change question

I doubt you can PC right away. Maybe 6 months later you can. It never hurts to ask.

If you do PC for reward program, Citi Dividend Platinum, Citi Forward, and Citi mtvU are some excellent choices.
