Citi reallocation of credit limit

Anyone know how i can move credit limit away from my current citi card to a new opening one?i asked the CSR right when i were approved for the Prestige but she said no. I ask for higher initial limit, no. So i wonder if i can call EO or another number to ask them to reallocate my limit? I want to move 7k from the DP to PG.

EO is the only way I'm aware of. Even then it's ymmv on every level.

how should i ask them?so it's not as easy as Chase

You can request a higher limit when you call to activate your card.

I can do that? Will it be another HP? Citi already pulled both my EX+EQ, the CSR that do activation can increase my initial limit?

No Citi is nothing like Chase when it comes to reallocation. Just explain the limit was lower than you were looking for and it would be more usable if you had a higher limit to work with. Then offer the reallocation if they're concerned about extending more credit. It usually takes a few days for EO to work on it. They're a friendly group though.

Thanks, citi is my 3rd most generous lenders, with total cli now 22k,behind Amex 24k and Chase 32k.i will ask them to match with chase, but my concern is will EO pull my credit report again?

I have heard Citi does a HP for reallocating limits. And they often (but not always) do it for CLI too.

I took a HP on EQ to move limits

Then i will keep them as is then. my EQ cannot take any more INQ until some fall off in September this year
