Citi simplicity

The simplicity card is offering a 21 mo balance transfer but I already have it. I’ve had the simplicity for alittle over a year. Would I be able to PC it and open another simplicity card or close it and be able to re-apply?

Re: Citi simplicity

Me and Jnbmom just closed the simplicity card. I wish there was a way to PC, I would have switched it to the Dividend but whatever. Maybe, I should have used my current offers from my other credit cards for BT before applying for that. But never again will I mess with Citi.

Yup I tried like heck  to PC, no no and no. If I had to do again I  would not get the simplicity card. I did use the BT deal when I got the card but after paid off the card is kinda worthless no perks and never offered another BT after a year.

Re: Citi simplicity

If I close the simplicity will I be able to reapply? I tried to get them to move the CL over to my DC and close it but they said they don’t do that.

Re: Citi simplicity

OP, while it's a relatively difficult product to PC, just contact them to see if it's eligible.

There have been scattered DPs that confirm successful PCs. Nothing wrong with asking or trying. You can escalate to an account manager or supervisor for assistance.

As far as reallocations go, it's not done in the traditional method like Chase or WF, for instance. Typically, the way to do this is by escalating to a supervisor, and stating that you would like to "reduce" the CL from Simplicity to $X and "increase" the CL to card Y by $X. Please keep in mind that it'll be a HP regardless if you decide to pursue this route.

No PC for the Simplicity.

PCs do exist, just not as common.  Based on account eligibility.

There's been quite a few posts on this in the past on these boards and outside of MF.  It's likely you haven't witnessed "all" accounts that mention the PC success.  It's rare, but not impossible.
