Citibank issued Best Buy and Wayfair store cards

I currently have these two cards- Does anyone know if they are soft pulls for CLI?

In addition to the 2 above, I'm guessing all Citi retail cards are HP CLIs. My Citi HomeDepot was also an HP CLI.

CLI requests for Sears cards generate soft pulls.

Interesting, but sears has scaled down so much over the years it's hard to find an actual store. Its mostly appliance repair now. Which is unfortunate 😕

I guess I wont be trying for CLI then - I did start the wayfairs like 2 1/2 yrs ago at 2200 then I cLi a year after and it went to 4500 but to be honest I can't remember getting a hard pull but that was before citibank took over the account.

The website is still active but now mostly serves as a portal for multiple vendors.

The Mastercard is still accepting applications and Citi has been very aggressive with good-to-excellent targeted promotional offers over the last 4+ years, so the card itself for a number of us isn't yet a prime candidate for the sock drawer.

My Bloomingdales and Macy's Citi backed cards were both soft pulls.

My Macys was an HP 2 years ago. Though. It may have changed now. Mines in my sock drawer, so it doesn't get any play anymore.

With Macy's and Bloomingdales it's very important to request CLI only if the credit check is a soft pull. I never do it online.  And their csr seem to be quite use to that request. I usually call in for the request, and over the phone, I make it clear I'm interested in only a soft inquiry increase. Without that assurance, I  also  make it clear I don't want the increase. Thus far no issues.

But I have read on a few online forums that some customers who didn't request the CSR to check to see if they were eligible for a soft pull, were in fact hit with a hard pull.
