I just closed mine. It stemmed from my 500+ scores years back and originally was an Orchard Bank Card. The limit was a dismal $1150 and the apr in the 24's. Terrible card, also AF of $59.00 I stopped using it a long time ago
I got around to closing mine the first of the month because the annual fee is due (and they won't work with me, either). I asked them, "You charge an annual fee, for what???" I had the platinum card that basically offered me nothing. The have refused to upgrade the card in the past. The rep hemmed and hawed and I finally cut her off. 'Look, a couple of my cards have annual fees of less than $100, but they provide a ton of travel related services that make the fees more than worth it. You want me to pay the fee for, I guess the honor of carrying your card--that has my LOWEST limit (much less than $1000), what good are you to me?'
Hilariously, I got a letter in the mail yesterday, two weeks after closing the account, that said I had "earned" a CLI. A whole $50! Gimme a friggin' break!

How long have you had the card? What kind of sign up bonus did you get?
If it helps, out of $200k in total credit, target won't budge on my $200 limit. And that's my oldest account. I was angry about it for awhile, Finstar probably remembers.
Oh I remember B335is...LOL. You're right though, in the grand scheme of things, once you've reached that threshold in exposure, it really doesn't matter much. If they tease me with a bone, I'll gnaw on it for a bit but then I'll be done...![]()

I'm going to wait a day or two for the CR to post to my acct , request a check, then call and close it. Muahhahahhahha. Seriously, I'd rather use one of my GECRB co-branded cards than this piece of junk.
Well, if it's served its purpose then it's time to move on, so just click YES on the little box...LOL. Let us know about the funeral arrangements...are you going to place an obituary as well?
You know what works best for you so just go with that young.
