For now I would just charge something every 3-4 months and keep it in the sock drawer... long credit lines look really good during manual review, so another one can't hurt.
I also would just leave the credit limit alone, you might want that credit on another line somewhere and I wouldn't want to get into a situation where you hit GEs internal limit (if there is such a thing) or someone like AMEX starts turning you down for CLIs because they think you have enough credit. there really is no need to increase the line if you don't use it except to help out with UTL and I have a feeling that you don't have any problems with UTL
Basically you're now at the point where it's just a matter of choice. You have plenty of CCs and revolving CLs. It's not going to matter if it's open or closed. If you don't want it, close it. If you want to SD it, then by all means do that. I just don't see it making a difference in your case.
EH...
sd it is!!
I recently used it to have flowers delivered to the person I'm dating.. so lol maybe I will just periodically use it for having flowers delivered...although I wouldn't want this person to become accustomed to receiving flowers just because I want to use my Chevron card HAHA!
I think Teleflora offers discounts with the use of a Chevron account.. although, their service was rather subpar.. especially since they delivered the flowers two days LATE. LOL
My goal has always been to get high CLs.. but I don't really care about getting too many more random clis since I clearly have enough avail credit HAHA.
Of course, I want to hit that magical $25,000 limit on one card in the next few months, but that should be fairly easy with another 3xcli from Amex! haha my util is like at 11 or 12% currently. I'm about to pay off enough to get it below 10%. I've noticed the more credit you have, the more difficult it becomes to make a dent in utilization.. luckily.. I haven't been any where near 30% util since like 2008!!
oh well, thanks for the advice!! :-)
OMG i would just love to see what new CL they would give you if you requested a cli
BUT DONT DO IT CURIOSITY KILLED THE COW
LOL
Bet I could EASILY get $5,000. Credit line increases have sort of lost their mojo/high for me haha. I couldn't even spend the credit I have! I could just request a cli to $2000 LOL just to get out of that $1k range. LOL ehhhhh

In California it's usually a cat that succumbs to curiousity. Interesting.
