I have a capital one platinum card that I opened up when I first turned 18. The card is about a year and 7 months old but I dont use it becuase of capital ones horrible customer service and interest rates and horrible rewards (All around terrible!!!). I have a GM card with capital one along with a Neiman Marcus card with them. Would closing the card kill my credit? I am at a 715 and have a Util of 15% total on the following cards:
Chase SP
Chase Disney
Chase Amtrak
Chase Amazon
Gm Card (Capital one)
Citi Dividend Platinum
Macys Amex
Bloomingdales Amex
Neiman Marcus Store (Cap 1)
Discover it
Amex Blue Preferred
Thank you for the input!
Average card is about 1.5 years old
it won't affect you until it drops from your report after 10 years. The only immediate effect is utilization which I would get down first before closing
