And so, 8-9 months into my credit building, I have no secured cards left. I started with the CO Secured MC $200 and Disco Secured $200. My Disco graduated yesterday to a $2000 card and I closed the CO card this evening. To be totally honest, the QS1 would be the next card on the chopping block if I was eligible for a Chase FU, but I'm way over 5/24. Maybe while I'm gardening I'll eventually find something with no AF to replace it before I wait long enough to be under 5/24, but honestly I don't think Chase is really a bank I'm so eager to be associated with, what with data points about them getting jealous and watching people like a hawk over their silly rule. I've been laying low for 2 months or so now (last card I got was my Amazon card I believe) and I intend to keep laying low. I think either late this year or some time next year, one of my goal cards may be the Citi DC card.
In the meantime I have a few things to look forward to like hopefully getting another 3x CLI from Amex to take my ED card from $6000 to $18,000. I also changed my Disco rewards program to the 5% rotating categories as well.
Anyways, thanks for reading. You guys honestly made this possible and I'm incredibly grateful my credit file is shaping up the way it is. Thanks ![]()
Congratulations on your hard work so far!
