So I just got multiple CLI's on my JCREW card today to bring it to 12,750.00... I decided to close it though to free up some room as I don't like to have to much available credit.. With my recent approvals I found it a necessary thing and only have one store card left being Wayfair.. It served its purpose.. But the Hawaiian airlines card I just got and the Hyatt and a few others on the horizon will more than make up for it..
RIP JCREW!
I'm just confused. If the concern was too much available credit, why keep requesting CLIs before closing the card? Seems like just frustrating yourself for little reason!

Just to see if I could get them and possibly have it closed with higher CL as well.. If not still closed > 10k.
.. Time to close to Ring next up... The purging has begun kinda.
Why are u gonna close the Ring? Its one of my goal cards, why downsides to it?
On with UW at barclay's now... Ugh hate expainging stuff lol..
Ring just doesn't serve a huge purpose and we know they don't persay like BT's and with 2k CL on it, kinda a pointless BT card.
I was under the impression that if you get a CLD all you have to do it call a number they tell you and explain some concerns as to why they CLDed you and they will restore it?

Looks like the closing cards bug is contagious around here. Yaaaassssss!!
Still think you should have kept your card and taken my job offer. Excellent pay and even better benefits ![]()
Nothing wrong with weighing out the pros/cons. You’ve went back and forth, should I close, should I not. Sometimes pushing the limits is a great ego booster. Good Luck with Barclay’s, I hate speaking to them. My Arrival + is on the chopping block, I’m just trying to wait until March, god knows if I’ll last that long.
