Ive got my list already...I came up with 13 more store cards I could easily close without even having to think twice about. It'd funny because I actually have written down on a piece of paper 3 columns.
1). Could close now and not care
2). Could close after some thought and care a little.
3). Could close and really have to think about it, and I might not.

LOL..The first list is happening next year. The second list will happen in 2017. The third list may never happen until I get approved for more majors.

My goals now are no more store cards. I have all that Ive ever wanted back, so the challenge is now over, LOL..moving on. Smiley Wink

I'm starting to review my (photo album) now for more cards.... I'm going to go over to JCPenney next week and use my free birthday money and another freebie coupon they sent me and then I'm going to close them too! (That is $5k Sync also)

LMAO!!!  I dont consider them a store card, LOL... Ok, I take it back...There are only 2 "store cards" I want in the future, and my furture might be 8 yrs from now, but its of course Cartier, and Tiffany &CO.  T&CO was IIB for me, not very much, but anyways...that card is a challenge for m to get back, so Yes, ...LOL  Smiley Happy

T&CO was the CC that sent my whole BK7 into a tailspin, and set off red flags everywhere, which promted a 2nd trustee to my case!!! LOL.. Its considered a "luxury card".  So I had 2 trustees going over mine with a fine tooth comb.  I provided to them eveything they wanted.  I even went as far as to go directly to my nearest store, and they went into my history and printed off my ENTIRE list of everything that was bought on the card....from the last 7yrs!!!  I had to tell them which items I still had in my possession.  Long story....but do my complete honesty, and handing over everything to them I had in my possession to the trustees, they let me keep everything! I was shocked!

Send I bought a Tempur-pedic which has set prices I think I did OK buying it from Ashley they gave me 4 pillows (Tempur-pedic), delivery and a $200 mattress pad for free and 69 months 0%!!

I heard that some of these  Ashley stores are franchise at least the new one here where I live is.  I was approved for $4K card at the store. I was buying a sectional... the saleslady showed us the cash price and three different prices for interest free financing. First one at 12 mos, 2nd 18 mos third 24 mos. The longer the term the higher the price. Left the store without buying. Saw the same sectional online, the same price as the store's cash price. But... you can't use the Ashley card online.

I secured a short term LOC with my credit union for 36 mos and I'm paying less in price and interest than Ashley's 12  month interest free term price. NOT like that at RTG.

Maybe it's different for beds?  Smiley Embarassed

Re: Closing Cards is actually kind of fun!

I wish I could stomach closing anything under 5k, but that would include both Sallie and DC and I just can't bring myself to let those go.  Smiley Sad
