Combine cards

I have a citi custom cash with a $4k limit and a citi my best buy with a $4k limit that I opened a few months ago so I could buy a TV with 0% interest for 24 months.

Is it possible to pay off the best buy card and ask to cancel and combine the limit with the custom cash??

Technically Cit won't combine cards, but there is a workaround.   I called for my S.O. to try to combine cards and when they said "no," I told them to close the accounts.   At that point I was transferred to a supervisor who just did a credit limit increase on the target card and closed the other one.   A rose by any other name,  you know -- same end result.

Citi sometimes will allow de facto reallocation by CLDing one card and then letting the customer request a SP CLI on the other...

...but in this case it may be more complicated because the Best Buy card is IIRC issued by Citi Retail, which is a different operating unit than the "major" bank cards (TY cards, AA, Costco, etc.)

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select
