Combining Citi Cards

I have a Citi platinum mastercard 3 years old. I applied today and got a Citi Diamond Preferred and Citi cash rewards card plus got a increase for the old citi card. After i get the 2 new cards should i combine all the cards into the oldest one or keep them seperate? I only applied for the new cards cause i got the pre-approval in the mail.

I would combine them all into the oldest tradeline but I like less cards. Some feel differently.

If that's the only reason then I hope they stop sending you apps! Smiley Happy  In the past 7 years my wife and I have never kept multiple cards from the same CCC for more then a few months without combining them.  After we got married it was way to much work to keep things straight.  We got into an apping spree just before and a little after we got married and had about 6 cards apiece.  We combined all the cards into one from each company.  Unfortunately, I subsequently had about two-thirds of the accounts closed before I knew what I was doing and we are just now getting back to the same point.

I combined my 2 Citi CCs after I received and activated new one, which Citi Dividend Platinum MC that I had for 2 yrs to Citi Driver's Edge MC.   The reason of behind this was I needed to make BT from my other CC (not Citi), and I was not happy with reward program.  By combined these 2 CCs, my CL went up higher on my new one and closed my old one.  But, my outstanding Credit History will stay on the CR up to 10 yrs ...

KV, Which CCs you like most?    Keep the one you like most and happy with it if you are going to combine those three CCs.

Did you know you just reduced Average CC's Age by applied and received those 2 new CCs?    Many of us receives pre-approved offer in the mail include me, but we don't jump on it right away.  I don't know what is your credit score is ... but it is better to have a plan before you apply for new one.
