Combining limits...

So, should I combine limits on my 2 Amex cards?  My first amex card (everyday card) just received a CLI 2 days ago....2nd Amex card BCP just got approved for yesterday and is coming in the mail (new card).  Should I move say 1K from the 2K limit on the everyday card to the BCP's 4K limit?

***If I do this reallocation of limits, and considering the recent CLI on the Everyday card, how long until I am eligible for another CLI...specifically a CLI on the new BCP??  Should I not rock the boat and wait?

thanks

Re: Combining limits...

In what way would combining them benefit you? Are you planning to spend a ton on the BCP card? Keeping utilization low on a single card or needing to buy something big are really the only reasons you should combine them. If you can wait 3 months, AmEx will most likely triple your BCP to $12k. 3x CLI is very common for them, especially in the first year or so of a new card.
