Has anyone had Comenity freeze all your accounts pending identity verification?
Got a suprise when I went to TrueValue today, my card was declined... Called customer service, and the automated system transfered me to account protection. I was then asked a ton of questions from my credit report and public records. At the end of the call, they told me I had to mail in 3 forms of Identification. I was told I could fax it, but their fax machines aren't that good and cannot read the DL or SSC information, and I would have to mail them in anyways.
Would have been nice if they called me before I went to get parts for my sink, lol.
This is common with them, just give them what they want. It would be nice if they were to call or otherwise notify someone of this but thats not how "security" works.
I made the remark that it would be nice to simply scan and email, but she said their systems cannot do that, lol.
Happened to me too. They asked me some identity questions and then re-opened my accounts. I didn't have to send anything in.
Seeing as I had 30 accounts with them, it took the rep about 20 minutes to manually re-open each account...lolz.
Yeah, I'm pushing 50 with them, lol.
How do you guys keep up with all those accounts!

I use an Excell spreadsheet, Card issuers, numbers, credit lines, balances, available credit, due dates, minimum payments, so on. I have the balance tied to how much available credit there is in comparison to the credit limit, so I don't have to enter the balances along with available credit. Allows me to easily manage the 59 accounts I have listed on it. Also started my dad out with some new cards, so I watch his as well for him.

That pic is about a month old, have added $13K in accounts since then.
