I've heard the trick is to click the LUV button on an odd numbered second but never on an even numbered day and only if you've not clicked it before on an odd numbered day with an even numbered second and to make sure you gently click the mouse button when you do it.
Lol, kidding -- there is no general rule for Comenity since they have MANY tiers of credit behind all the same face of the cards. One person's VS card is internally scored as "super subprime" whereas another person's VS card is internally scored as "give them more". We have no idea what we are scored on their internal systems.
Your soft pull probably matters a lot -- inquiries, AAoA, new accounts, utilization on one or all accounts, etc.
i have been successful at requesting every 60 days like clockwork, they are always small 300-500 cli, except for jcrew, they can give out thousands every 60 days. My jcrew started at 550 a year ago and its at 12450 and its time for me to ask for another cli on the 22nd, but as always YMMV
the lower end shopping cart type cards like womanwithin, roamans, kingsize direct, brylane home, takes 9 months before you can successfully request a CLI, and then every 90 days from then on typically $300 each, up untill the card is 3000. if you get lucky and get to $2900 and hit the love button, you will end up with a $3200 limit. The kingsize card will go to $4000.
That is my experience.
With Comenity Capital cards it is indeed 4 months and 1 day per CLI. I tried it a day early and got a 7 to 10 day message. Then I got my $1,000 increase on the exact schedule. Have no idea who figured that out to a science.

I had it deny me early in the morning on two cards than give the credit increase that evening on the luv button.
I just requested CLIs on a few of my Comenity cards. There must be something to the 4 month theory because I finally got a small CLI after 4 months from Overstock. I got a larger CLI from Williams-Sonoma and I've had them for 5 months.
The other two cards I got the dreaded 7-10 day response.
$250 to $450 on Overstock
$250 to $1,000 on Williams-Sonoma
I get an increase on my cards every 30 days. The luv button always get a denied for me. But if I call the Robolady she always comes throuogh for me.

The Robolady? Is that the customer support IVR?
