So I have 3 comenity Cards I am desperately trying to grow!
VS- $300
OS- $250
F21-$250
From your (you reading this post) experience when do comenity cards get there first increase? And how long after the first do you get the next increase. Ive heard so many different stories from doing research. Some said the got an increase after 3 months and havent gotten one since. Otheres say that got their first increase at 6 months and have got one every two months after. Trying to compare so feel free to share :-)
It varies because cards aren't all the same internally to the lender (Comenity). Someone getting a $250 SL may be internally rated differently from the person that got a $1500 SL. That being said, Comenity is likely soft pulling your credit report monthly already.
From my own research, I've found the following things to try:
1. Robolady after receiving the card -- some people have better luck using the Robolady and saying "no" to what size credit limit they want (this helps avoid a hard pull, but not guaranteed). Some people got CLIs from the Robolady before even using the card.
2. LUV button on the site, after activation
3. LUV button or Robolady after first statement
4. LUV button or Robolady every 31, 61, 91 days
5. Sometimes hitting the LUV button right after Robolady approves a CLI
6. Something hitting the LUV button again after the LUV button gave a CLI -- some people have successfully hit it a few times in a row to get higher CLIs back to back
Be aware that there's no rhyme or reason why a CLI ends up being a SP or a HP. There's also no rhyme or reason why some folks get one right away and others have to wait 90 days or even longer.
My scores were low (high UTI) at 638 but no baddies and because I paid down everything last 4 weeks from 98% to 50% and got a bump to 666/667...so this is what happened for me
VS (8yrs)
1 auto after 1yr 250 to 800, then after 2yrs next auto to 1200, after that I did not expect anything but to my happy surprise last week after CLI request went to 1400 (my avg UTI 50%)
OS (2yrs)
300 start, 18 mos went auto to 750 and no love on CLI request two weeks ago (avg UTI 60%)
Hope that helps
Hi. My experience with Comenity has been,
HSN opened in 09/2015, $1000 limit > $200 increase in 01/2016 > $400 increase in 11/2016 > $400 04/2017 while requesting CLI in between time. Total $2000
VS opened in 01/2016, $250 limit > $200 increase in 04/2016 > Auto CLI to $650 in 4Q/2016 > $200 increase in 02/2017 > $200 in 04/2017. Total $1050.
Buckle opened in 01/2016, $250 limit > $200 increase in 04/2016 > Auto CLI to $720 in 4Q/2016. Total $720 as of today.
HSN and VS shows me great love but Buckle will not. Probably because I use that card more and tend to carry a balance where as VS I barely use and HSN has a bal of less than 1k for a tv I bought last year. Its definitely a YMMV situation. I'll be requesting increases in 3 days on all.
Synchrony on the other hand showed me love today with WM and Amazon. Increased both via SP from $400 and $800 to $3,500 each. Both were opened in Jan or Feb!
Thank you so much.. You guys a super helpful... I'm just going to wait until my 6th statement hits then I will try the robo lady. Speaking of the infamous robo lady. How do I find her number for the different cards?
Yes extremely helpful. Thank you so much. I have been completely lost because just like the first commenter said, theres absolutely no reason to this ..
Number on back of card -- when it asks you what you want, say "credit limit increase".
If it asks if you want to specify a credit limit, say "no".

I had VS early on, but after 9 months, I closed it because it was difficult to really buy anything from them with a $350 limit. OS started off at $600; it's been at $4700 for more than 6 months. I never had F21.
YMMV with Comenity cards. Of the 4 cards I have, PB, JCrew, and Talbots have grown exponentially.
