In any case, nice to see OP move on gracefully, after such a big hit, as she knows there will most likely be ample opportunity going forward to reestablish a relationship should she choose to re-app.
Okay, how about if I close them because they're crappy cards that I never use? Would that be okay?

I just put two bandaids on my hand from the papercuts I received opening up 10lbs of Comenity letters lol.
Each one said the same thing; Account Closed due to recent number of inquiries. We hope you apply again in the future.
My credit score of theirs was 762 from EX and 758 from EQ internal scoring.
In the midst of the mail was a preapproval for Blair Credit Card and Brylane Home lol. Oh well, at least its over and case is closed! The stack of mail was a bit horrifying, im glad its over and done!
Thank you for sharing and updating us.
Have a great weekend!

It's like Undercover Boss. Probably the best way to find out what people really think about their cards/products/services. Could not get any more real than this

@ score building......Im pretty sure Captool was being sarcastic, and so what if someone wants close a card "in support" of a member here, LOL.. Some of us members here are actually friends outside of MFF, and talk/text/FB etcc...Some of us are really good buds. Again..no need to continue to demoralize the OP by continuing to bring up "risk". Again..its been said over and over, by the OP himself...he knows why the AA happened. None of us are idiots here, and none of us have room to judge.
@ Captool......LMAO at your "in your support of' comment, and then of course your , "Would that be okay??" Kind of like...May I have permission please? LOLOL....

Sorry again D...
Thank you for telling us, and we all knew it would be some BS response. It always is....What's BS about an issuer not liking it when a customer seeks credit aggressively?
Its Comenity...Not JP Morgan ok? ......Cmon..you dont need to go there. No need to bring up "aggressive credit seeking", thats like rubbing salt in a wound CB14..Everyone knows why this happened, it doesnt need to continuously be "repeated"... And it is a BS response.
There might be less AA throughout the MF community if the causes weren't trivialized.
Sometimes people have to make and learn from their own mistakes.
That's what being an adult is like!

@Anonymous friends don't let friends drap!
@Anonymous Huh? it is what it is, no judgements, clearly. AA happens for a variety of reasons. Ask me how I know...
sometimes things get a little twisted on this topic. OP appears to have handled it like a champ, if something is stated 'over and over again', it may just become a part of the conversation, pump the brakes, don't assume it's intended as an affront.

On a philosophical level (with no particular relevance to this thread or even credit in general), I find learning from others' mistakes (without having to make them myself) enormously helpful in life. I inevitably make many mistakes, of course, but I can still avoid some.
On the level of credit in general, what is the value of MF if not to share knowledge and experience? And what is the value of sharing knowledge and experience if not to make fewer mistakes?
Well, I suppose some find entertainment, or like to create it for others.
