I have several Comenity store cards and they seem to love me MUCH more than Synchrony BUT I cannot get approved for any Comenity Visa so far. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into scores on approval, inquiries etc. I've never gotten a visa pop up.. tried SG, TR, Blue Nile, Orbitz etc. I've even applied for Orbitz a few months ago and got declined. All my scores are currently around 650-670. I have 30k in Chase visa limits.. my util is about 18%. My Util with just Comenity cards is probably around 5%

You can't get visa pop ups on comenity cards I heard and it's a different bank, store cards are Comenity Bank, branded cards (VISA/MS) are Comenity Capital and they have stricter requirements.
The only one I was able to get was the health food one that they stopped relationship with and I got approved for Orbitz right when it launched but I have been denied every time since... Almost every single Visa except the Total Rewards has also pulled EX instead of EQ like all the store cards and I'm always declined when EX is pulled despite it being my highest score over 700.
I've read Comenity is sensitive about utilization (18% is a bit high, is that Chase only or average of all cards?) and late payments (do you have any?). Can't speak from personal experience though; DW got some Comenity cards twenty years ago (since closed, but still on her credit reports!), but that's about it.
I just got the Sportsmans Guide Visa using the SCT a couple weeks ago and it was a SP. I also got the Overstock store card with the SCT and a SP.
A key factor is that you must not have used the 'opt out' to get mail offers from CCCs.
For the Sportsmans Guide Visa, I tried to seduce them into offering me a Visa by adding the Buyers Club to my cart and also a couple small items, like a pair of wireless stair lights that are motion detector and take batteries. They cost less than 20 bucks and are actually made by Mr Beams, very cool. I added a couple other small items to the cart until it was over 50, then checked out as a guest (I had never been to that site with a cart before) and it did the pop up.
If it doesnt come up, try a different browser or try using the InPrivate mode in Internet Explorer.
Most important, you must input address and contact inof exactly as it is on your CRs.
hth
edit: It still shows Comenity and thats what I use for the online account access.
yep, I do all that-- i get pop ups for STORE cards all the time.. just no visa's.

Your EQ/EX has to cross a certain threshhold as well.. Probably around the 670's or so until you see the Visas.
sorry to hear that
I've been trying for a Visa through the SCT as well and have had zero luck. Also can't seem to get Overstock, which I'd really like for the higher limits.
My scores are past that 670 threshold, but I have 5 CA so maybe they look at baddies? Another problem is looking at the 3 reports, my name and address varies ever so slightly on each 3 (middle innitial included/not included, street address has Ave vs. Av) Not sure how much of a role that's playing. Do we know which CR different stores are looking at?
I've received offers from VS, Express, LOFT, Ann Taylor, but turned them down due to low limits.
Well looking at your eq score I got sg and tr popup at 665 or better eq so you are close
