Each store has their own standards, the banks are just servicing the accounts for them. This is the way it is with everything. For example, I just financed a car through Mazda. It's serviced by Chase, but has very different underwriting standards. Chase is very picky and usually only finances prime scores. The Mazda arm however, will finance down to a 500 FICO. If you went to Subaru, that arm will only finance down to a 640 FICO.

im wondering the same my wife added me to her overstock card that she just got a cli to 6500 on it reports on the 9th i will update if its added to my cra reports account is 11 months old
Okay. I checked their website. I went through the account features and the FAQ section too. What I found there is that you can add a authorized user. But I didn't find anything that the CSR told your DW. So to be sure, you can call 1-866-423-1097 and have a talk.

Does Comenity cards report authorized user or is it just up to the “individual store card entity’s” to report AU??
DW was told by CSR at VS that they DO NOT report UA accounts.
Anyone know for sure that policies have changed for Comenity cards??
TIA
😊
CSRs generally know almost nothing about store cards, other than they're supposed to encourage people to sign up for them. From experience with my Comenity-backed BJ's card, it does report on my wife's credit reports and she is an authorized user. With the exception of an Equifax quirk that I'm currently experiencing, every AU card (from every lender) that I have is on my credit reports, and every AU card that my wife has (from every lender) shows on her credit reports. Cases where it may not show would be if they fail to match you up with your credit reports, like a combination of not asking for the AU's SSN, having different surnames, having different addresses, etc.

when my wife added me to her overstock card last night it just asked for first and last name dob and relationship to card holder
Yes, that's all the BJ's account asks for, as well. Do you either live at the same address, have the same last name, or not have a super common name where it's likely there are multiple people with the same name and DOB? If so, you should be OK.
