I have recently received several Commenity cards and am wondering what is the average for CLIs? I know some people receive an immediate increase but for those who have not, how long before they gave you increase? What is the normal amount of increase? Has someone had a better systems to increase their CLI with Commenity?

Try hitting the button monthly, especially if your credit is improving.
Although some people post they recieve increases immediately after being approved. Some post they recieve increases after 3-4 months after opening the account. But for the rest of us, 9 months is the magic number.

Thanks so much for the info! I was in the garden and it was my birthday and applied for a macy's card (HP) and decided to go for some soft pulls so that if I received new credit the AAOA would age at the same time instead of being staggered. I am probably going back to the garden after today but wanted to see bigger limits on my credit cards. I do not have any installment loans and am thinking about purchasing a new car in about a year and the few derogs I had left should be falling off between now and March. I was hoping that maybe I would see increases at the same time.

Some of the Commenity cards are more generous than others. Depending on the card, the CLI button might work right away.
J Crew and Overstock cards worked for me right away on CLI
None of the others did.
If you want a nice way of getting an "installment" loan on your credit, apply for a $500 Share Secured Loan from Alliant for 60 months.
Average Commenity CL was $250 for me.
Ann Taylor, Victoria Secrets, Brylane Homes and Overstock were more generous.
I have J crew and Total Rewards. On J crew I get CLI's basically every time I use it and make a payment. I got one on total rewards after 4 months.

It varies with each Comenity product. Some (like J.Crew) offer CLIs right away. Others (VS, frequently) take the full 9 months for initial CLI. My VS and Gold Violin cards took 9 months for the first initial CLI, and then I was able to get a second CLI on both in <3 months. But, as some have suggested, there's no harm in trying monthly, since CLIs are SP.
I have 3 cards with them. I never ask for CLI but the give me them every few months. Typically, I run up the limit and them pay it off. There have been many times when I have run up close to my limit and then paid it off, they have given me a CLI.
However, I did notice, I think in August, they CLD my Express account $200 and then they CLI my Victoria Secret account $200. (I never get anywhere near my $2100 CL on my Express card anyway. This was the 1st CC I ever had and it started at $150 limit but I don't think it was Cemmenity back then.)

It's always been the same lender, just a restructuring and re-branding of the bank. It was World Financial Network National Bank, then WFNB, and now Comenity. Did you ever ask why your EXP and VS CLs were lowered? Did you use them with frequency?
They only ever CLD my Express card and it was just that 1 time this past August. I wasn't clear before, they CLI that $200 onto my VS card.
I never asked why b/c I never go that high on my Express card (and didn't really care either). I used to use my Express card A LOT. At 1 time, 90% of my wardrobe was Express. I haven't been using the Express card much b/c I am less and less impressed with Express's clothing the last couple of years (the quality) and they keep jacking up the prices. I really haven't shopped there much in the last year so I guess they figured I didn't need that high limit on that card and would move it over to the VS card which I use more often.
