Commenity not reporting monthly?

I have 2 commenity cards that I received through pre-approvals in 02/2013 and 03/2013 to help build my credit but looking over my reports right now they haven't reported in 3 months.   I haven't used them yet but shouldn't they still be reporting a $0 balance?  Them not reporting is not helping my credit :\

Can't say for sure because I have no Commenity cards but my Walmart is like this and doesn't report when I don't make purchases found that out one monthSmiley Sad

I suggest making a $10 purchase and letting them report

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Hey 2fixMyCredit!

Commenity doesn't report to the CRAs unless they have to generate a statement for you.  You will have to use the account then PIF or let the balance report before they will update your credit reports.  This is standard practice for them.  If after you PIF the outstanding balance and you fail to use the card again before the next billing statement, they will not report again till you give the card some more usage.  Hope this makes sense and is helpful.

I guess it's a YMMV. My VS hasn't been used since April and it has been reporting my 0 balance.

Re: Commenity not reporting monthly?

I have Comenity cards that I opened in Feb but have not used at all.

Still has Feb's info but it will still report zero. It only updates if you let a balance report and a statement generates.

If you have a balance one month and pay it to zero the next, it'll generate a statement and report in that case too.
