Re: Comprehensive Guide to Marriott/Ritz Carlton Rewards (and Their Credit Cards)

Is it primarily the courtyard marriotts that don't offer free breakfast? All the other marriotts on the list on the first page does?

in the US, for the most part, yes. Most AC hotels don't either, but there's only a few in the US. Most will also grant you a free minibar too, which is a pretty nifty perk.

+1, although I have stayed in some Courtyards in Asia which provided full breakfast. Otherwise JSU is correct, and it's something where Marriott lags significantly behind the competition (such as HGI, etc.)

Hey FinStar, thanks for the welcome back. It does feel like it's been awhile.

I've added a few more to my collection, although I need to update my scores when I get a chance. I'm sure they've gone down with those new additions.

How have you been?

You've been missed!  It has been a while buddy!

Life's been good here so far, no complaints - just busy traveling and whatnot.

Well, on the upside and given your great profile, your scores will rebound in no time.  Nice additions btw!

Re: Comprehensive Guide to Marriott/Ritz Carlton Rewards (and Their Credit Cards)

Little update snippet here.

Just read that marriott/ritz is going to begin offering elite night credits for award stays (awesome), is going to change their points and cash system to be more like other hotel programs, whereas points can be used in conjunction for each night with cash. IE, hotel is $300, or $150 + 10,000 points, and will allow transfers of points between any members - not just spouses for a specific redemption.

Very exciting news on the EQN on award stays and the points + cash.
