Our information is far too easily shared without our approval.  There should be a massive class action suit against not only Epsilon but ALL the companies who shared our information without direct approval.  I know they have wording that allows for a loophole but they should specifically say: "We will be sharing your information with another company who has little to no understanding of data security with the intention of us trying to make more money.".  I very much doubt if anyone would agree to that.  Remember, we are also backed into a corner with the sharing of this information.  Do you want to open an account with them, access account information, etc?  You have to share your email address.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am getting suspicious emails on a daily basis now.  It''s like whoever is responsible waited for the Epsilon situation to quiet down before they started the spam.

I have also been getting this feeling that I am getting more spam mails, especially the mails about funds that are lying somewhere and I need to pay a few 100 $s.

Are you actually getting more, or are more just getting through your filter.  I haven't noticed any uptick.  Periodically, I will get more in my inbox.  After reporting the spam a few times, it stops happening.  I've always just assumed that they've come up with some clever way to bypass the filter and after enough reporting, the filters get better again.

My 12 year old yahoo email account was free of spam mail.  The emails that I'm receiving now shows my actual email address.  I think its related to the Epsilon situation.
