Consolidating Citibank credit lines

I have three Citi cards:

1. Prestige

2. Diamond

3. Platinum

I asked to consolidate #'s 2 and 3 into Prestige and it is possible the rep said, BUT it would require a hard inquiry since the line on one card will increase.

So I declined and left everythign as is.

Executive Office -- and I had to get a HP to consolidate my lines.

Correct.  It's going to be HP the majority of the time, unless for some reason you can qualify to get them moved via SP (even with the EO's assistance).  Part of it would depend on your overall relationship with Citi.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I don't feel that strongly about consolidation given the effort it seems it may require. 

I'll just let it be.
