FOTM cards? Don't forget these two:

Banco do Brasil Americas

VantageWest CU

Both issuers suffered the full MyFICO effect and both put in geofencing measures after the dust settled.

Marvel cards probably would have been one as well if they weren't issued by UMB, lots of interest but the early DP both here and elsewhere was consistent with their reputation as a difficult lender.

DC card, bruh

Oh doodoo

Full disclosure:

I jumped in many threads to inform unsuspecting public on how evil Amex can be.

I've stopped since, because I got one of their cards, so I had to limit hypocrisy to 35%.

I forgot about that 🤷‍♀️

It's been a lot more than 61 days.  You could ask for a 3x CLI, and if they don't give you the full amount or *gasp* ask for the dreaded IRS Form 4506-T, you can get those numbers down to maybe 30 or 31%.

Whether one believes in community spirit or not, supporting each other whether it's by way of simply offering encouragement, relaying one's personal experience, providing data points, or even even answering the same questions time and again, is one of the primary reasons for these forums.

There are lots of people here who provide valuable data points on their approvals (and denials), and not everyone is looking for "congrats!" posts.  But that doesn't mean those approvals shouldn't be celebrated.  Many people here have worked very hard to build or rebuild.

This is why i come into the Approvals section from time to time, for the DP's. I don't have time to go through and congatulate everyone who's approved, but I do offer it while I'm in a thread that is relevant to me. Sometimes it's also interesting to read somone's journey that led the the approval.

As for bringing up a past grievance with a Lender, I don't really have many, at least not to the extent that I think Remedios is speaking about.  I know that I've made my feelings known for a certain Lender, perhaps far more often than I should, but I generally keep it in related topics to that lender. But have recenlty tried to stop frequenting threads even about them to minimize my exposure.

I remember many took the bait though.

What I have noticed over the years is that their are lender w/ cards that become flavors of the month and everyone makes a run for them.  The lastest for example would be AOD, which has has many threads about it.

Then what happens the lender either nerfs parts of their rewards program, doesn't give out CLIs, or some type of AA occurs and some blame them for what happens and take it personally.

CO bucketing, Barclay AA, Chase 5/24, Amex RAT, Financial Reviews, Citi/USB nerfing and many other issues that everyone complains about and they don't look in the mirror see that their actions caused some of the issues.

Here are some flavors of the month / what do you remember

CO Venture

BBVA NBA

Chase CSR

Amex Plenti

Disco CLI train

Amex 3x CLI

Citi Presitge

USB Cash +

WF Propel World

Re: Constant gripes with individual lenders

Stinking USocks gotta have HP for CLI. They are awful. Even if they did give me $10K once I let them HP. They suck for giving me a great catback card. I'll use it so much, they'll pay for it now.

As for denial, no one would dare do that to me. I channel male Karen with every app.
