Convert Citi AAdvantage?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a "backdoor" number to convert a citi aadvantage card to some other citi product (e.g. citi platinum dividends)?  Are successful converters simply calling the customer service number?  Was conversion relatively easy to obtain?

I am not sure about the AA Card.

But conversion at Citi is the Easiest I have ever seen. I had a DP card I converted to CashReturns, it only took a 2min call to CSR (# back on card)

Just call and ask nothing to lose if they refuse anyway!

i thought about converting dpr and the rep was very willing to help and see what my card could convert to. call regular number and just ask.

Just call the number on your card to convert.  Last week I converted my Citi AAdvantage to the Citi Platinum Dividend Account.  The CSR was very helpful and converted it immediately.  Should be receiving my new card any day now.  I even got to keep the same account number and my APR will be 4% less!!!
