At least the unsecured one is unavailable (shocking cause it seems like last week I was looking at it). The secured card isn't really worth me forking over money that doesn't graduate to unsecured (also there is no point in getting this card since I got 3 great cards at my disposal). I really just want it for my desk. Maybe being stupid me I will email citi and ask them if they have demo cards leftover from the diamond. But I doubt it. Maybe worth a shot though in my dumb mind.

Lol, a 5/24 slot is only if one cares about Chase
@UpperNwGuy wrote:Don't do it. You would be wasting a slot in your wallet. You might think the card is pretty, but sure won't impress the folk you hand it to when it comes time to pay.
Most cards dont impress people. Only us Fico heads
Regardless of availablity I’m still trying to really understand the appeal of this card to you. Part of the appeal of having a flashy looking card is what the flashiness implies, which is typically status.
Putting this on your desk to admire is strange since the only thing this card implies is inability to pay off debt...

I keep seeing people posting about Chase cc's and honestly don't know why everyone cares so much about these cards. Are they really THAT great? Do they have better rewards than most or something?

They are arguably, and in my opinion the most well rounded rewards credit cards out there. Ultimate Rewards cards are a great combination of perks/point earning/rewards/affordability that can be utilized by the majority of people. Untill just recently, Chase pretty much had no competition.
Besides all that its just future proofing your credit card portfolio by ensuring you have Chase Credit cards because of their infamous 5/24 rule. Even if you dont use Chase Cards, having them now allows you to always go back to them later if needed when you are inevitably outside of 5/24. This strict 2 year rule doesnt really apply to anything else, so thats why Chase always has priority.
