Costco Amex CLI Question

Hello all,

So I about to reach the 61 day mark on my Costco Amex and am wanting to ask for a CLI to $10,500. My current CL is $4500 so I'm going to be asking below the 3X amount. I currently have a balance of about $400 on the card(Only because of the 6-month 0% offer). Will this affect my chances of getting a CLI?  Thanks!!

I don't think that a small balance will have a negative impact on your CLI chances, *unless* you've been carrying that balance, and making minimum payments. Amex is a strange animal-- you either get wonderful or that Exorcist girl at the moment that her head spun around, LOL!

So I called in the automated system on what I thought was my 61st day and was denied because "I hadn't reached the 60 days yet", that was 3 days ago and now I am past the 61 day mark. I  called the CSR that day and told her what had happened and she informed me that I had to wait 6 months to ask for a CLI after a denial, but I'm not sure if she understood what I was asking. Does anyone know if you ask again after you passed the 61 day threshold or do I have to wait 6 months? Thanks all!

Pretty sure I have seen over and over if you ask few to soon, you go back after it is 61 days and it will give it if you qualify, the already ask to soon will not effect.

Ok, so I just tried again and asked for a $2,000 increase from $4,500 to $6,500 and was approved! Figured I should play it safe as its just the 61 day mark.

Congrats !!   AMEX seems to be pretty good with giving out CLIs at the 60 day mark, and it was a soft pull too
