This morning I decided to apply for the Chase Freedom card. I couldn't resist to do it, I wanted one more unsecured card apart from the BCE.
I got the 30 days pending response and called them for recon. They told me they had denied my app because my file was very thin, but that they could try to reconsider it. So the guy asked me some questions, why my credit history was so short (I came to the US in Sep 2013), what was my job, etc. Then, he said he had to verify everything again and came back saying that he couldn't verify my birth date, that I had to fax them a proof of that.
I faxed it to them and I'm waiting for a response. I think, by the way the guy was talking, that it will be a "yes", but I'm not sure.
Maybe I call them in a few hours to see if they have already checked my faxed docs.
