Re: Credit Card question, Please help

Every lender is different but two months isnt a very long time for non use so I wouldnt be concerned. It might help others if you stated which card this is regarding.

Re: Credit Card question, Please help

I doubt they will close that fast, but why not just run a charge through it and pay it right off once and while and that way you wont have to worry about it being closed?

my aunt has a discover card opened up in 1991. she has not used it in 24-25 years lol. she has an 840 fico. the keep sending her discoverit cards to activate and refuse to close her card down lol.

but, i would just use yours once or twice a year and will be fine probably. try to use it quarterly, there for you are showing them some activity.

Oh okay. Im just worried that they might close it.. Virgin America has a annual fee, I paid it on my 1st statement.

my barclay is apple rewards. I dont have anything to buy on apple, nut i might use it for gas just to have an activity.

Re: Credit Card question, Please help

Unused credit cards can be seen as a potential liability by a lender. The equal credit opportunity act does not require a lender to tell u they are going to close u out due to inactivity. The exact period is up to each lender. Just use your cards a few times a year and u will be fine.

Re: Credit Card question, Please help

Just use all those unused cards for a pack of gum or something every month and pay it off right away.
