Credit Inquiry without permission

Last week I got an alert when I was paying my credit card bill saying that I can request for a credit line increase and when I called the bank, they said they will take the decision in 10 business days and notify me of it and they also said there won't be any Hard credit inquiry.

But today when I saw my credit report there is actually a credit Inquiry on my report.
What shall I do now? Shall I call the bank and ask them or How shall I Proceed?

Re: Credit Inquiry without permission

Call the bank and ask them to remove it. Some banks are sometimes easy to work with and will remove the inquiry, though they may also reduce your CL to whatever it used to be.

However, if they are unwilling to remove it, then there's nothing you can do. Whenever you seek credit with a lender, that lender has the right to pull your credit report(s).
