Credit One...

I have had my card for two years in February of 2008.

I just asked for a CLI.  My CL is still $300.

My letter said no because "of the number of months I have had my card established OR delinquencies in the last 12 months."

My bankruptcy was discharged in August of 2005.  NO LATES SINCE THEN EVER.

As soon as this cards up for renewal in Feb., they better offer me a free house, or I am cutting the sheeot up and sending it back.

The card served it's purpose INITIALLY, but I have done my part.  The supervisor was a donkey about it.  All  I asked is how can you say you reviewed my credit history and your letter is wrong on both accounts?  She said it was a form letter.  It makes me sick.  I have worked my butt off and I am ready to take the hit and lose $300 in UTI to get rid of this card.

Re: Credit One...

I have a CreditOne card too Coach.  Question.  Did you ask them to give you a CLI over the phone even though the form letter was screwed up???

Yes.  I requested an increase and they said they couldn't.  Unbelievable.

Re: Credit One...

I do not know about your other open, active TLs but I would say if this card has no AF and no maintainence fees of any kind - keep it!

yes $300 is insulting but just sock drawer the card, buy a donut every 6 months or so.

Although if you do close it, the history is retained for 10yrs, its always good to have an extra $300 in utl open =D (assuming ur in credit rebuilding and CLs are important right now)

Re: Credit One...

I am going to either balance transfer it to a cash back rewards card and get paid for it when I close it or simply get a CLI in another card for 300 and just have it added.

I am pissed to say the least about it.

Re: Credit One...

My CreditOne card has a negative balance of over 20 dollars right now.  I don't plan to use the card for a minute and a half (until the end of January or the beginning of February).

Re: Credit One...

Get rid of it. It's served its purpose. Your hx will be there for 10yrs. GL
