Credit One

I applied for their rebuilder card, but it said my credit score did not meet their requirements.  They checked EX and my score is 588.

Re: Credit One

I'm not really sure how I got mine, because my friend got declined AFTER a pre-approval and I applied within a week of my bk 13. not settled in court, just approved in court!

sorry to hear about your decline though, not sure what they look for.

Re: Credit One

I got approved with the same score as yours in Sept. I'm not sure what they're requirements are. I got a pre approval letter in the mail.

Re: Credit One

Take the decline as a thank you from credit one because they claim to be trying to help you rebuild yet charges you for everything. It's better to get a secured card that reports to the CRA than anything from credit one. I'm not sure why they haven't been sued by capital one yet because there mailings sure do look like an offer from capital one.

Re: Credit One

Sorry about the denial. They approved me last year below 600, but it was a measly $250 limit.

Re: Credit One

DW and I both have their cards and received them with EX scores around 550-600. Both came from pre-approval offers. Mine was my first CC to report in over 7 yrs. However, even though they have been good to us, they are next on the chopping block come real soon. The $450 CL and monthly aren't doing anything for me.

Re: Credit One

I had this card before and they do charge you for everything, You pay $6 a month to carry the card and to make a payment online you have to pay another $6 so thats $12 a month just to carry the card. When I called to close the account I also had to pay a fee. I would not recommend to anyone to get this card.
