Re: Credit One!

Congrats.  This was my first card after bk.  Much lower fees than most and they automatically increased my limit from $250 to $400 just by paying the inial fee off on time!  (don't know if my jump in ficos from disputes had anything to do with it, also.)  Also, I called today about my account (to see if I could add someone as an AU user) and spoke with a gentleman that didn't have a heavy foreign accent (bonus!)

Re: Credit One!

A lot of people hate on Credit One. They are subprime, but they have lower fees than most of the others like Tribute and Imagine. I also got an increase from $250 - $400 when I sent in my first payment.

Re: Credit One!

I have a cc with Credit One and have never used it.  I received it in July and in August they increased my limit from $400 to $600.  I called yesterday to see if I could get a CLI and I was declined because of the increase in August.  They said you can request a CLI every 6 months.  Well I didn't request the first one but it didn't matter.  I have zero interest till next July so I will start to use it while I have zero interest.  Other than that I have no complaints with the card.  Also the CLI request was a soft pull.

Re: Credit One!

I always liked my Credit One card. They bumped me to $800.00 limit and were always good to deal with. I stopped using the card a while back and just made my final payment to zero out the account--good feeling.

Credit One is alright with me. They were there when I really needed something.

Re: Credit One!

They seem to be ok card. What I don't like with them is they charge annual membership every month instead of once a year. Some times you can forget sending the monthly fee and they can start adding the late fees and other fees. That forces me to make sure I pay that fees every month. Some times I pay ahead for 6 months or so and leave the credit balance on my account. Other than the monthly fee, it is a good card. When the next annual review comes, I'll close that account. Other than that it seems like a good card to keep. They would give CLI every six months by an amount of $100.00
