Hello Everyone - From several posts here, I got the impression that banks included your credit score when they send a new card. Today, I got a Citi and a Chase card, but neither welcome packets included my credit score information. When people are sharing what the bank indicated as their credit score upon applying, from where are they getting this information?
Thanks you -

CC issuers only provide your credit scores when you don't qualify for the best terms.

Or in the event the cc had only one term ie CSP APR is 15.24% for approved apps

It depends on the card; They are required to send it when they deny you or use it to give you a lower product, but some issuers give it to you anyway when you are approved for the top card. I know off the top of my head Discover and US Bank have sent me my score when approved for the highest tier card.
As others have said, it's not just the card, it is the best terms (usually APR). While some cards have only one rate for success (Lexie's quoted CSP) many have several possible rates. You should get the score if you don't get the best rate. (And I think that there is some language about this only being necessary if the score/credit report was used in making that decision)
I did not get the best terms with my Freedom approval, but there was no score in my welcome letter. Can I call and ask? Or would that be a HP?
Thanks Everyone - I did see that Citi sent the info in a separate welcome letter, and it did mention my derogs. Perhaps - as others have stated - that is to explain my APR of 17.99, which is better than the other cards i have- and the starting CL. I am very interested in what score I had with Chase, since I read they have their own internal scoring method and they are the only bank to issue me a <$5000 CL of the 5 cards I got in 2013. Maybe I will just give them a call to see what score they have for me.
