Credit Unions Anyone Can Join with fastest Application Process

Hi Guys. What credit Unions can anyone join that have the best credit cards and fastest membership and credit application process where you receive your membership number right away so that you can apply for a credit card. Nasa FCU used to be fast but now takes over a month and you have to send in tons of documentation. What other great credit unions are out there?

What area are you in? Maybe your local credit union would be faster since you could visit in person with id?

For the OP's request of "fastest application process"???  I can't agree in this case.  My EQ was in great shape but they still asked for faxes of tax returns / W2s / etc.  I faxed them same-day and nobody bothered to look at them.  4 days later I called to bug them and they agreed to look the faxes over finally.  Approved.  This was for the credit card... the membership itself was instant as I recall.

Having to fax stuff, wait days, and make nag calls is not my idea of fast.  But sure, I'd rather do it ahead of time rather than be the target of an Amex-style witch hunt after the fact.

Alliant seems really fast. After making a donation to join, I was approved to open a saving account with them within 5 mins.

Best is always highly subjective.  If you want feedback you need to specify what you're looking for from a card.  Don't just assume that your notion of best on any topic is universal.

Fastest isn't something that can be guaranteed.  Your particular case may require additional documentation/verification/etc.

Define "great".  Again, you're using a highly subjective word.  Is speed of application all that matters?

If one CU was best then we'd all use it and no one would use any of the other CU's.  Provide your specific criteria any time you use a highly subjective word.

If OP returns, all credit unions use REAL documentation, even NADA.  I am waiting to work on my own CU card after I start filing my taxes (easier than combining all my separate income documents adding on self employment records).

DCU is not the fastest but one of the best. Penfed also.
