I have a few cards that are visa signatures, so do I call the lender for the concierge service or is who?
@Akula,
The credit card must come with that sort of service. A Visa Signature card does not warrant you concierge services and you don't call the lender. If your card comes with it, you will have a dedicated number to ring for concierge. For example, my cap 1 card that is Visa Signature does not have concierge service.

I asked CAP 1 and the CSR said the Venture card (The one I was inquiring about) does NOT come with that service. I.E consierge services.
I am looking at all the paperwork with my DH's venture card and then looked at their site. They advertise the consierge benefits with the venture card. It was one of the benefits I liked. He travels weekly so I need to learn more about those benefits. I travel with him at least once a month (when he goes somewhere I am interested in)
Receive complimentary upgrades and special savings at hotels, resorts, and spas with your Visa Signature card.
Enjoy assistance 24 hours a day, from home and when you travel, with Visa Signature Concierge.
Your Visa Signature card gets you special access and preferred seating at popular sporting events, premier golf outings, and concerts.

That is quite odd since I have it with my venture card and concierge service is listed as a benefit of the venture card on their website. I think you just got someone who did not know what they were talking about.

i am not surprised with CAP 1 goonies.. I won't be using them but good to know
For the most part I know World Elite Concierge is pretty compitent. Visa Signature Concierge isn't bad either. Then again, I have only used those two concierge a couple times. MasterCard now has a concierge iPhone application which allows you to send a request or call them directly and has a few other functions. I don't know about the availability of that app on other platforms but I know it's available for iOS users. Again, no concierge can guarantee reservations especially on the busiest night of the year for restaurants.
EDIT: Sorry I just realized that you said Friday and not Saturday. you may have a better chance on Friday rather than Saturday.
