I'm planning on biting the bullet for an AI subscription. Most likely Google AI Pro.
Does anyone know how these may code?
I'm thinking internet service provider.
Is it technically a streaming service? Digital entertainment?
I wouldn't mind earning a few extra $$ or points. Just trying to figure out what CC to use.

I assume US bank's triple cash's $100 software credit would code for any of the AI subscriptions, would have to confirm though

Possibly.

Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro (preview) says (in part) "... your credit card company would likely categorize the charge as something like 'online services' or 'digital products.'" It could be wrong, though. ![]()
Google's Pixel 9 Pro phones launched with one year free Gemini Advanced. The Pixel 10 is expected to launch in August; I'm hoping it will have one year of free AI Pro. Some information about the tiers: https://9to5google.com/2025/05/21/gemini-app-limits-may-2025/ (May 21, 2025)

I also thought the same thing before subscribing. From my experience, the bill appears as “Digital Services” on the card statement. So if you have a card that gives bonuses for that category, you can get quite a bit of extra points. But I think each bank can be different, depending on their categorization system.
GPT Pro gets recognized as software/computer services for the 4X category on my amex biz gold. If google codes it like they do their other cloud services it should be the same.

Interested in this as well. Use grok/twitter mostly, not through the App Store.
I am interested in the Google AI as I saw the AI video stuff is incredible. Veo or something.

It looks as though the release date for the Pixel 10 is August 20, 2025.

Edit: I'm using my backup phone Pixel 7 Pro after my Pixel 10 9 Pro XL was stolen. ![]()
I suggest setting the screen lock to 15 seconds before leaving home. Even my Pixel 7 Pro unlocks (using my fingerprint) in a split second, so the 15 second screen lock is not inconvenient.
Not exactly sure on that but probably like Apple. Even Apple gift cards are coded so you get 6% cash back. I make out like mad on Apple products. Amex points for gift cards when they are running a promo..10% off for veterans discount, refurb discount, then 6% off any remaining by buy buying gift cards.
