I currently have 4 accounts, I know I should use the cards, but how often is enough to prevent them from being closed or hurting my credit score from lack of usage? Any advice, tips greatly appreciated.

Once every 6 months is usually enough to keep them from being closed. However, like everything else it varies from bank to bank so if you have any questions you should contact them directly.
Every 3 months buy a diet coke xd , in my case i use walmart every month and amazon 3 or 4 months .
Is that an Overstock card? You can skip that one, in my opinion, unless there is something that you require to survive that you must buy there. Buying something on that card "just to keep it busy" is a bad idea, IMO.
The other three, just continue to use them regularly and they should be fine.
You can buy anything to keep the accounts opened. Of course you don't have to care about utilization being 0 because a credit score only matters if you are applying for new lines of credit and you can acheive 1% (you don't even need the exaxt 1%, even 0.5% will be rounded up to 1%) utilization to boost your scores in no time.
Take note that banks can close your account for any reason or no reason at any time and without notice.
