Hey guys I have a question .What is the number of hard inquiries considered  to be seen as "normal". After how many inquiries do you get flagged? Im sure after you reach a certain number of hard inquiries you are seen as a risk.
I currently have 3 Inquiries with Experian. 8 with Equifax and 12 with Transunion. That's a total of 23 hard inquiries across all three. When I turned 18 years old about 2 years ago I went on a app party. I  had no idea on  how credit worked. ![]()
By the end of the year I will have a couple inquiries that will fall off.
This is how it should look by the end of 2011:
2 inquiries for Experian,  7 with Equifax and 8 with Transunion.  Starting next year I will be at  17 hard ones ![]()

You'll want to focus on recent inquiries (last 6 months or so). If they're low, you don't have much to worry about. I'd say normal is 3-4 per report. However, if you're applying for a car or home mortgage, they can spike crazily.
What is considered to be "low". I guess for now I want to avoid applying for more credit. Im 19 years old, I really have no need for a car loan or a house loan. Im just trying to pay off my school loans.

"Low" is subjective, but as the previous post says, 3-4 in the past 6 months is not going to draw any red flags.  You're not going to be apping anytime soon, so you really don't need to worry about how many inquiries you have.

Agreed.
YMMV.....someone with an oldest account of 20yrs and AAoA of 7+ yrs, a CR with 7-10 inquiries is not unheard of and depending on their payment history - if perfect can still easily get approve for a CC. Someone in your case for example...can be borderline in the eyes of lenders. I would say stop apping for any new cards, unless you know they strictly pull EX where you only have 3 iqs L2 yrs. Any Lenders who pull TU or EQ, more than likely, you are going to be shot down for too many iqs. Only because you AAoA is very short... It's all about YMMV.
How come Ex is so clean after app apree?

Same reason my EQ and TU have 2 and 3, and my EX has 12.
Depending on where you live, they all tend to pull the same CR
There are a few exceptions like Barclays, They almost always pull TU no matter where you live.
Capital One always pulls all three.
