Credit one cli requests?

Hello all,

the question tonight is whether anyone knows how long you need to wait between cli approvals with credit one bank.

I have the credit one Amex with an annual fee billed monthly.   I called them in march waive the annual fee (which they did)

& called back to request a cli, which they approved.

 300 to 550 (an 83% increase)

am I good to ask for another cli  next month (90+ days) or  do I need to wait until September (180+ days) with credit one?

another 83% would bring me to an almost-useful CL of $1k

Congratulations!

Even if they don't approve, I think there's no penalty for applying with most banks.

If the CLI requests are SP, then I would agree.  If there will

be a HP, then I would be more cautious.

Re: Credit one cli requests?

My experiance with CLI request with Credit 1 is that they would charge me a fee for the CLI if I requested it and accepted their offer.  They have also been known to do hard pulls for customer initiated CLI activities.  They do review your account and will offer automatic CLI increases every 6 to 12 months, which is what I would recomend, but even then, the automatated CLI offers sometimes have strings attached.  They once sent me a check, and the amount of the check was the credit limit increase.  If I used the check, I would accept the CLI, but it would aslo be charged as a cash advance against my card at an extreamly high rate.

Ultimately, you may be better off shopping for a different card with no strings attached than trying to persue Credit 1 CLIs.

This. Just close the sub-sub prime cards. You've outgrown them.
