Kohls / Capital One New Rewards Visa Card

I've had a Kohl's charge for a couple of years and I just received an email saying that johls joined with capital one and my account is being turned into a Visa Signature card! I'm on the road to rebuilding my credit so I'm excited that my card can now be used anywhere starting in September. Also, I've been blacklisted from capital one since I included them in my bankruptcy ($400) in 2018 so I prayyyyyyyy they don't close my account.

Re: Kohls / Capital One New Rewards Visa Card

Well hears something odd to say the least concerningt he Kohls credit card...

So anyone paying attention to the Kohl's / Cap1 fiasco, knows I want that upgrade because every time it's mentioned here I feel compelled to comment, lol.

Anyway, yesterday I remembered reading someone say they got a pop-up in the Cap1 app telling them that they'd be upgraded to the Kohl's Visa.

(Of course all the "chosen ones" are getting email notifications too.)

I have not received any of those things (yet?).

The only thing I did see was a soft inquiry on my Experian report from Cap1/Kohls like a week or so ago.

So, last night playing on my phone before bed, I just quickly checked my spam folder, but nothing and nothing in inbox either. I opened the Cap1 app and nothing new there.

I thought "should I check the Kohls app/webpage. I doubt it would show anything, but why not check anyway."

So I do and everything looks normal, until I saw it!!!

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, in bed, tired, dim lighting, etc...

My credit line says $3500! What?!?!!?

My CL has been 3k for YEARS, and I've been told numerous times that the max CL is 3k.

I apply for an increase every few months just for S&G knowing it'll be another denial letter.

I honestly can't recall if I asked for another increase this month or not.

I just don't keep track of it assuming it's never going to move when I ask.

So I guess it could be an auto increase, but I think it's likely that I did ask.

Now I wonder if this is related to the upgrade to Visa transition, or did they just decide to finally increase the ceiling on the store card .

I have heard of others getting big increases when they were upgraded to the Visa, so if that's what it is, I'm a little disappointed in the piddly $500 increase, but at least it's SOME movement on this card.
